Spre deosebire de celelalte oi si la fel ca un copil mic, ea observa chiar si cele mai mici fiinte si le pune nenumarate intrebari. Ea descopera cu cine vorbeste iarba, de ce furnicile sunt atat de puternice, de unde vine mirosul de flori si de ce frunzele stau intinse pe pamant. Cartea ii incurajează pe copii sa-si imbratiseze curiozitatea si unicitatea, invatandu-i prin exemplul oitei, ca este in regula sa fie diferiti si sa exploreze lumea cu uimire.
