The strategy was to impress college recruiters by playing my best tennis during my senior year.

What actually occurs is that my uncle, the head coach of my tennis academy, departs for Tahiti using the school's tuition funds. My own peers now consider me to be a traitor.

My school has a severe need for positive press, so they collaborate with The Academy, a reality program. Only they will take advantage of our scandal. Colleges won't be interested in my tennis abilities if capital D Drama is the main story.

Also ineffective when Shane Wagner, a transfer student, is struck in the face on the first day by a careless forehand shot. For starters, Shane is obnoxiously attractive and also the top-seeded junior male in tennis nationally. Oops.
