This Poetry book is a book of layers. Within the text these writings are stories of the human experience. Every poem is bold, gritty, while also holding a sense of love. Poems such as "Fake Love" entails the heartbreak of not being treated fairly in relationships with family, friends, or associates. While in comparison to poems like "Battlefield" the perspectives are transformative. In the first poem there is sadness or retreat. What is intriguing is in the later mentioned poem there is fight and victory of spiritual and physical battles.

My poetry is a reflection of experiences. Not just my experiences but also my witness to human experiences. For me, poetry is more than words on paper. Poetry makes your first kiss real and validates the traumas that were suppressed because it seemed that nobody cared. Poetry is a voice for the drama queen, the nerd, and most of all the silenced. Writing life gives it a heartbeat and a stamp in a timeline.
