Urban Romance

O.G. is a read that I believe is an Urban romance more than street fiction. Although it's packaged to be street, but once the reader starts to get into it, they find it to be a very warm, realistic and layered love story between two people of opposite walks of life. Abel Diggs is an ex con with a score to settle...or forget...he's unsure which way to go with that. Tish is a doctor with love issues that she would rather forget than face. With realty at nipping at their heels, they meet under the most retro conditions, which makes them both believe that good times never left, and together they make everything else go away...for a minute, that is until Abel's life converges upon them...pushed forward by the ugly violent past and with an extra kick in the head shocker...the present. I think once the reader puts the book in perspective it is a funny and fast paced read. If nothing else it will keep you humming your old favorite party tunes from back in the day and dreaming of the time when it was allll good! Abel Diggs is a memorial character. I recommend to anyone looking for a read that has a bit of both Urban worlds.
