Examination of how Lesbians & Gay Men made films about their own sexuality thru 1980

I mostly bought this for information on the period 1970 - 1980 and would have liked more detailed information. Most enjoyable for me was the 25 pages devoted to "Lesbian/woman: lesbian cultural feminist film". Of compelling interest was the section "Affirmation Politics" in the last part of the book `From and for the movement'. This section contained a list of documentaries from 1970 -1980 that contained titles, dates, country of origin, directors and a brief synopsis (information on where or how these films could now be viewed would have been perfect). This book has been updated in a second edition published in 2003.
