Nothing In Common

All of us have been wounded. All of us have been hurt or traumatized. This is a harsh world we live in, and one thing I have learned is that hurting people hurt people. John 16:33 NIV says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world." The Bible tells us to walk in love. That is difficult to do when you are filled with anger, bitterness, rejection, or hatred. How can you speak love to another person when you don't feel any love yourself? How can you build another up when all you feel is torn down. The answer is - you can't. In order to speak words of healing to others you must first get healed yourself.
