Notes of Defiance: A Fanfare in Common Cause is an anthology created by Sontage, a group of poets based in San Diego, California, who meet monthly to share our words and works.

We like many others are concerned about the current administration's efforts to rewrite history, gut the Constitution, and punish anyone who disagrees with its words and actions.

We Sontagers are a diverse group of dissident voices who believe in the Constitution and freedom of speech and assembly. Our poems range from overtly political in tone to others that have a more personal vibe. The book includes art contributed by one of our members who is also our resident artist.

We believe that every voice lifted to shine a light on and protest these actions matters. We appreciate you and hope you will join us.
