Not Yet: Waiting on the Promise
What do you do when God's answer isn't no, and it isn't yes, and it isn't even a timeline?
It's simply... not yet.
Abraham waited until the promise looked biologically impossible. Zechariah waited so long he stopped expecting the prayer he'd once prayed to be answered. Mary carried something nobody else could see yet. Joseph held a dream the people closest to him didn't understand. Simeon and Anna kept showing up while years passed. And the disciples waited in an upper room for a promise they could not manufacture themselves.
Their stories reveal something every believer eventually discovers: waiting is not empty space between the promise and its fulfillment. God is doing something in the waiting itself.
In NOT YET: Waiting on the Promise, pastor and storyteller Dale Stringer walks through twelve biblical portraits of waiting and connects them with the very real seasons we face today-unanswered prayer, delayed dreams, grief, disappointment, uncertainty, calling, relationships, and the fear that maybe we've waited too long.
Blending Scripture, pastoral insight, present-day stories, and carefully cited psychological research, NOT YET explores what waiting does to the heart and how faith can remain alive when circumstances seem to argue against the promise.
This isn't a book of easy answers for hard seasons. It's an invitation to trust the God who works beyond what we can see-and to discover that waiting faithfully can produce something just as important as receiving what we've been waiting for.
Because not yet has never meant not ever.
