Norfrica: Glorious Death #1 is a 64-page graphic novel set in a vast cosmic-fantasy universe inspired by mythological epics. As tensions rise between the godly realm of Asgarth and the forces of Jotunheiml, a diplomatic mission becomes the spark that threatens to plunge the realms into all-out war.

The debut establishes the Norse-inspired backbone of the wider Norfrica saga--political machinations, godly powers, and full-page fantasy art--before the series turns to the African folklore-inspired realm of Nyandala in later chapters.

The first chapter of Norfrica: Glorious Death, written by Eric July--building the mythological foundation that continues in #2. The series carries a real-world cross-media tie-in: "Glorious Death," the Billboard-charting single performed by Eric July and Dan Vasc as the in-universe band Norfrica.

Eric July is a writer, musician, and the founder of Rippaverse Publishing. As vocalist of BackWordz, former vocalist of Fire From the Gods (where he shaped the band's metalcore-with-hip-hop sound), and host of live-stream features, he built a creative platform--combined audience 1.2M followers across social channels--that culminated in launching Rippaverse in 2022 with Isom #1, one of the most successful pre-order campaigns in independent comics history. He is the creator of Yaira, Bloodruth, and Alphacore, and the writer of Isom, Norfrica: Glorious Death, Salvage: Lethal Force, Salvage: Exclave, Saoirse #1, Santwan: Exclave, and the Vassie picture-book series, plus co-writer of Yaira: Frost & Ruin (with Carrow Brown).
