When Sweetie Jean moves to town, they quickly connect thanks in part to a mutual hatred of their small-town life; but, as Cry Baby's fears and self-doubts deepen, and the clock to graduation and adult life ticks softly in the background, he will be forced to confront the reality of his choices and his impact on those around him.
