Great Read

This was a fun uplifting book. I read it in about 3 days. A very interesting time travel with a good versus evil theme. Nick and Anna are likeable characters. Without giving away the plot, I will say that some current topics are discussed as problems in the 18th century. This book is a great vacation read.

Different Twist to Time Travel

This is different because usually the heroine is transported back in time and this time it is the hero who goes back. After being involved in a terrible vehicle accident he is transported to the regency era into the body of Godfrey, husband of Anna. Godfrey was wounded in a horse accident in his time and takes Nick's place in the modern hospital. We quickly find out Anna is a battered wife and wonder why she bothers to even save Godfrey. As he starts to heal Anna and the staff start to recognize startling changes in Godfrey (Nick). The most startling, he's acting human and actually nice. Of course, Anna falls in love with her new husband but it takes a while to trust him.

A great time travel romance!

I prefer time travel romances and this one was not only great but what I consider a keeper, a book to be read and reread. Reminded me of "When There Is Hope" by Jane Goodger but with the twist of the male lead time traveling. If you enjoy Regencies and time travel, don't miss this one.

A FABULOUS READ!!

NICK OF TIME is a story of two people from two different times destined to be together. This story is filled with suspense, tragedy, hope, miracles and a passionate love. It is a wonderful book with an ending that is to die for. I recommend it to anyone. You'll enjoy the journey. Trust me!

GREAT WRITER-GREAT STORY

In 1997 London, Nick DaCosta is racing to the airport to catch the last flight home to San Francisco. Nick is feeling guilty because his partner, Chris, is dying in a San Francisco hospital due to a sting operation that went bad. In his rush to catch that last flight, Nick crashes into a cemetery. He meets his partner in front of a weird light and learns it is not time for him to die. In 1810, Anna Woodbaine rescues her spouse, Godfrey, who apparently fell off of his horse. Anna hates Godfrey for his vicious treatment of her. However, this time Godfrey acts differently, making her wonder what he wants from her. Unknown to Anna, Nick and Godfrey have switched places. Nick occupies Godfrey's body while he lies in a modern hospital. Nick thinks that his job here in the past is to help Anna and Godfrey, but he cannot stop himself from falling in love with Anna. As he learns more about what happened between Godfrey and Anna, Nick knows that it is more than just jealousy that stops him from trying to help this couple reconcile. Still, there appears to be no future relationship for Nick with Anna, who has begun to love her "gentle" spouse. NICK OF TIME is a very well written, extremely interesting time travel romance. What makes this tale unique and intriguing are Nick being a bull in a Regency environment and the brilliant handling of nineteenth century spousal abuse. Casey Claybourne adds freshness to both the time travel and Regency romance genres with this clever gem. Harriet Klausner
