New York Minute By Eliza Willard Ruining high heels and getting drenched in disgusting sewer water are the least of Roxy and Jane Ryan's problems. Roxy and Jane Ryan are total opposites who are strangely brought together because of two strange men who chase them through town. Officer Lomax is trying hunt Roxy down for skipping school and forging her dad's signature. A man named Bennie is searching around New York City for Jane, to get his microchip back. It's going to be hard trying to get the chip back to Bennie because a dog, Reinaldo ate it. They travel around the city in towels trying to find Bennie. Jane gets kidnapped and finds out that Bennie sells pirated movies, CDs, and DVDs. This was a great, exciting comedy that I couldn't put down. Eliza Willard does a great job making this book appealing to children. She does an excellent job on making the book seem just as good as the movie. This suspenseful story got me guessing and wanting to know more. With well described characters and setting she painted a picture of the scene in my mind. I'm very excited to read her other books such as "The Secret to Jane's Success" and "There's Something About Roxy." I really recommend this book to any girl who likes Mary-Kate and Ashley because they play Roxy and Jane. My favorite part of this book is when the go into the "House of Bling." This was a well described part. It was funny because of the pictures that showed them dressed up in some pretty strange clothes. The pictures that Wilson includes in her book are from the actual movie "New York Minute."

Roxy is a lot wilder twin that is in a band, has a messy room and doesn't care about school. Jane is like the exact opposite, she isn't going to school for the days so she can hopely get into Oxford University. Jane has a very clean room and is always good. This book takes place in New York City. This book's main idea is showing how two exact opposites can be alike. The book is also about trying to run away from two mad men. I like the story because it can relate to me because Jessica and I can be so different and so alike. The plot of the story is about two girls that are totally different. One is Jane and one is Roxy. Roxy ditches school because she wants to get into a concert where they are making a music video. She wants to get in to the music concert to give the manager of the music video a tape of her band. Jane doesn't go to school because she needs to make a speech so she can get a scholarship to Oxford University. There is a man chasing Roxy because he wants to turn her in for ditching so much school. Roxy sneaks onto the train while Jane buys her ticket. The ticket man mistakes Jane for Roxy and thinks Jane was Roxy because they look alike. The ticket man tells Jane she has to get off the train. A man sneaks a computer chip into Roxy's bag. A limo driver offers to give Roxy and Jane a ride because he wants to get the computer chip back. Roxy and Jane got into the music video and gave the manager the tape and Jane got the scholarship to Oxford. Roxy's band now has a record company and they lived happily every after. By; Danielle b.

Roxy thinks about skipping school to go to her favorite band Simple Plan's new video shoot and also to get her band a record deal. Roxy and Jane finally reach New York.
