There's something strange brewing in Juniper Springs, Tennessee. A young juvenile delinquent named Caden Cromwell finds himself running afoul of the law and, in lieu of a jail sentence, finds himself working at the very book store in Juniper Springs he was caught vandalizing. But as Caden comes to find out, this is no ordinary book store. Inside the bookstore, the kindly store owner, Mr. Reece, sells a home-brewed tea concoction that helps the townsfolk think calmly and clearly. As the bookstore comes under fire from other people in town, Caden presses Mr. Reece to mass produce the tea to help the bookstore out as Mr. Reece tries to keep Caden on the straight and narrow path. But as the tea grows in popularity, more people want to find out what's in it, leading to a Pandora's Box effect around the brew that Mr. Reece and Caden, along with Mr. Reece's granddaughter Riley, are trying to contain. Along the way, Caden learns about love, loss, and passion for literature. Will Caden manage to stay on the right track, or will all the drama swirling around him swallow him whole?
