Captivating and Intense

I read this book based on a recommendation for a psychological thriller and it lived up to every expectation that I had. The story follows a group of teenagers as they navigate a town where residents are committing suicide in droves and a new drug is causing ritualistic behaviors and mind-bending psychosis among the adolescents and young adults. The story twists and turns from the different perspectives of each teenager and their relationships between one another, balancing love and violence in a captivating story where every detail ties into a greater epiphany. I will say that the ending had me sitting and thinking on the book for several hours, as the author trusts the reader to dig into the details independently and ends the book in such a way that you can continue to think on the meaning of the story and draw your own conclusions.
