I was extremely pleased with the quality of research that went into this book. It is easy to read, user friendly, has great tables in the appendix. It is on the cutting edge of psychiatry as more patients turn to natural medications for healing. I see it as a valuable resource in my practice for those select patients who desire this type of treatment.

Excellent overview

This book is a must read for psychiatrists who might be interested in new findings in psychopharmacology. It contains an excellent overview, contains many well-written meta-reviews. Its scientific standard is very high. Especially the chapters describing omega3-fatty acids, inositol and SAM-e are very helpful and inspiring. The only problem I have with the information in this book is that the natural compounds described are difficult to acquire in Europe, but I can't fault the authors for that.
