Nicole Brentwood has it all; a promising career, beautiful home, a multitude of friends, and a loving husband. With minimal staff, antiquated equipment, and a community leery of strangers; both struggle to fit in and do what they came there to do.A late night urgent request from a stranger changes the dynamics of their lives yet again. Blindly following the stranger across the river to help save the life of a child, Nicole and Aedan are thrust into a civilization that they never realized existed, one frozen in time, and immune to the influences of the outside world. Reluctantly accepted by the community leaders after they help heal the child; Nicole sets her sights on uniting the communities on both sides of the river. Unbeknownst to anyone, it will take the knowledge, grit, manpower and stamina of both communities to survive when the unthinkable makes its way to U.S. soil; crippling the nations' electrical and water supply.
