Eve Belkin isn't looking forward to starting at a new shcool in the middle of eighth grade, but she has no choice after her father loses his job and her mother accepts a position in a new city. However, she's determined to succeed for the sake of her parents, who want her to be a 'normal' girl instead of the outcast she was in her old school because of her big mouth and matching attitude. She's surprised to find that blending in to the popular crowd isn't at all difficult, but there is a price to pay: pretending to be someone she's not takes its toll until Eve finally explodes. Ultimately, she goes back to being herself and learns that not only is she happier this way, other people like her better for her non-'normal' self.
I like the book was interasting because I want to know what happen when she change. And scary because when she star to change may be she goin to be some thing wrong like how she is.And also have a lot of exanting times. The best part was when she atar to change her self to a nomal girl. Eve have problems when his dad lost his work and her and her famaliy start to move here to here.she decide to change her self .she is goin to be normal. But when she hide her true self e very body know how she is.

I love this book! Eve Belkin's world gets turned upside down when her dad gets fired and her family has to move. Her dad has been avising her to turn over a new leaf, because he thinks his daughter shouldn't be tomboy. Eve admits she has always hated that saying, but she is tired of being lonely and friendless so she takes her dad's advice. While she makes some "friends" she is still unhappy because she can't be herself. Eventully her lies become untnagled, and she finds out all she needs is herself and sowhat if she's friendless? But in the end our Eve finds frienship and herself.

I really liked the book because the author.Put in alot of detail and desribed the book well. Also the characters adittudes,is like they were real.It really got me into the book about what was going on.The only part of the book i did'nt like, was the ending...Two elements of the story was the setting. It is at franklin jr.high, and a neighborhood. The second thing is the resolution. Was when she came out as her real self. She made a new friend,it all worked out for her...No matter what like yourself for who you are.Dont pretend to be someone your not.
