Lainey grew up fast when her grandparents were awarded custody of her and her older sister, Angie, while living in Maine. That had sealed a close bond between them, which resulted in Angie becoming her legal guardian as soon as she turned eighteen, and they moved into an apartment together.
Lainey had met and fallen in love with a guy who she thought she would spend the rest of her life with, but his death from a virus he contracted overseas had devastated her. Then, when Angie and her husband had moved to Arizona, it left Lainey completely lost without family around her.
After several requests for Lainey to move to Arizona, she had decided nothing was left in Maine to keep her there, so she sold everything and moved near her sister.
Getting to Arizona was a difficult trip for her to make. She didn't like flying very much, so she opted to take a passenger train. Everything started out fine until they had arrived in Arizona and a haboob delayed her from getting to the station on time.
See how Lainey makes it out of a train tunnel where the train she had been on had derailed and hit by another train, to finding the love of her life.
