My Glory is in Heaven

By Carlton Lloyd

Where do you turn when the world feels broken and heaven feels far away?

In My Glory Is in Heaven, poet Carlton Lloyd offers a sweeping collection of lyrical reflections that wrestle with faith, loss, and the search for meaning in troubled times. Born in part from personal grief -- including the heartbreaking loss of a beloved son -- these poems don't shy away from hard questions about suffering, doubt, and where God stands when tragedy strikes close to home.

Yet grief is only one thread in this rich tapestry. Lloyd's verses range boldly across the American landscape: the corruption of politics, the cries of the wrongly accused, the beauty of creation, and the quiet ache of everyday sorrow. Each poem circles back to a single, steady conviction -- that glory, healing, and ultimate answers belong not to this world, but to heaven.

Written in a distinctive, rhythmic voice that echoes gospel cadence and plainspoken wisdom, this collection speaks to readers who find comfort in faith without pretending the world is simple. Whether you're grieving, questioning, seeking, or simply craving poetry that says something real, these pages offer a companion for the journey.

For readers of inspirational Christian poetry, socially conscious verse, and anyone who has ever asked "why" and needed heaven to answer back -- this is a testimony in verse.
