Fun, but not really a reference book

This book tries to do too much in too small a space, and it is therefore in no way comprehensive. That said, it does have lots of interesting factoids, entertaining quizzes, colorful photos, and coverage of great musicians and international genres you probably don't know enough about. There are a smattering of typos and inaccuracies, but not so many that it spoils the fun. Appendices contain a glossary and lists of recommended music festivals, awards, websites, songs, and movies.
