Just when you thought it had all been done! Elizabeth Strong's high-tech career is on the fast track until she gets the call. The wicked voice from the past pushes her off a fragile ledge of reality... This description may be from another edition of this product.
A very different take on a suspense story that hinges on the unraveling life of a single professional woman. Computers and the internet do not play a huge role in this book, but the use is clever and intriguing. The author also delves into the blackmarket underworld, which is fascinating, and the use of memorable street people brings a gripping richness to the story. Be warned, however, you will find yourself rooting for the killer!

I thought this book was phenomenal for a first time author! It's nice to see a psychological thriller that breaks a few rules. You'll see this author again. and again. and again.
A Review from I Love a Mystery

The first murder is the tough one. After that they become easier and easier. This sentiment is almost a cliché in modern murder mysteries, but St. Peter makes it all too real. Elizabeth Strong is a marketing executive who seems to have everything going for her-a successful career, financial independence, striking good looks-but she is in reality being torn asunder by a terrifying past. She remembers all too vividly a father who was sexually and physically abusive and a loving mother who couldn't take it anymore-who finally commits suicide only to have her daughter discover the body. Elizabeth struggles with her demons and finally yields. Her drunken father, who has now come back into her life, is going to pay and pay horribly for his past treatment of his daughter. And a computer will be the instrument of death. MURDER.COM is a gripping and harrowing tale of a tortured mind that can find relief only through vengeance. St. Peter will keep you reading and wondering and sympathizing with this woman who drifts deeper and deeper into single minded madness. This is a psychological thriller at its very best.

This is not your average mystery. I never thought I could empathize with a killer! The writing is superb and the supporting characters are very real, each with their own interesting stories. Really enjoyed this book!
A delightful, sinister and frighteningly plausible tale.

This book can only be described as an emotional roller coaster. The cleverly spun tale jets you repeatedly from the world of high technology to the deep recesses of a damaged mind and on to the shadowy world of street people, gangs and mobsters. Some of the vivid characters will endear you, some will appall you, but all will delight you. You will laugh, you will cry and you will get angry, as you become "family" with the characters. The innovative and intricately woven plot provides a disturbingly plausible glimpse into the future world of high tech crime. The ending will shock you and leave you grasping for an explanation of how such an insidious thing could possibly happen. The only thing wrong with the book is that it ends. All in all, this is a terrific piece of entertainment. Be prepared to read it in one sitting. You will not be able to put it down! Five stars! It is hard to believe that this is the author's first novel. Come on Sarah, we want another one!
