Margaret Truman's MURDER INSIDE THE BELTWAY receives Patrick Girard Lawler's smooth and classically trained stage voice as it captures the drama of one Rosalie, a Washington DC call girl found bludgeoned to death in her apartment. An investigation during a Presidential re-election involves Washington candidates and a kidnapped daughter in this tense thriller, recommended for any audio library strong in audiobook mysteries.

great book

Captures the reader's interest til the end. Too bad the author has since passed away - no more of her great reads .

Her Last and Perhaps Her Best

This was an intriguing mystery. The characters were fully delineated, and everything was tied up neatly at the end. For a woman in her 80s, Truman was street-smart and savvy and didn't have to resort to explicit sex and foul language in her mysteries. It's refreshing sometimes to read a book that isn't filled with sex and gore. I'm truly sorry there won't be any more of her books.

Mystery

I love Margaret Truman's books. I am never embarassed to be caught reading them. They hold my attention. I'm sorry she has died and there will be no more.
