Murder At Ansley Manor: A From the Pulpit Mystery

By Rick Nichols

Eunice Ansley, the elderly matriarch of the powerful Ansley family, tells Asa Carter that someone wants her dead. She doesn't know who or why, and can give the police nothing to go on. When she is found dead in the Ansley mansion, all the evidence points to a tragic accident. But Asa Carter isn't convinced. The woman's sharp tongue and ruthless actions had caused a lot of hard feelings in the town and made Eunice many enemies. And Eunice was changing her will--a move opposed by all of the Ansley family. And rumors of the family's financial troubles make the will change even worse for her sons if the rumors are true. Against the evidence, Asa will dig into the secrets of the Ansley dynasty. Ellen Carter tries to unravel a childhood mystery that has haunted her since coming back to Glen Pines: why did her father suddenly vanish without a word and where did he go?
