Moving On

By Jacky Warwicker

Moving On, an emotionally packed novella, weaves together heroic stories across four generations.

Fraught with trepidation, Jeannie sifts through wartime photographs of her days as an evacuee in the Forest of Dean. She relives the wonderful times she had with Micky, until a traumatic memory surfaces with shattering force.

At the evacuee reunion, Jeannie announces with fearless conviction that Simon is a murderer. On the same night, a stunning revelation about her mother upends everything she knows about the past.

Stirred by a performance of Blue Remembered Hills, Jeannie sees afresh the tragic events which marred her childhood.

A fiercely protective matriarch, Jeannie goes clubbing to track down the Rolex Rippers who attacked her grandson. When history savagely repeats itself, Jack must battle through his own storm of grief.

Thrilled by the arrival of her visitors, Jeannie feels the immense joy of a new beginning. In rapt silence, she listens as Charlie discloses the longed-for truth of her mother's story.
