Loaded with Deadwood History!

Kill a Man...Start a Cemetery? Wow!, it really happened! Enjoying it immensely. Another star for Helen Rezatto. She's a great writer who has pleasantly helped satisfied my love for Deadwood history. Have toured Mount Moriah several times and now she's really done it! I can't wait to go back and check out all the new goodies I've learned. The book includes informal footnotes--or footsies--as she calls them. They are very informative, but will really distract you when you're intensely in the stories. I had to stop and read them, before I could go on! Thought earlier I'd just come back and read them later, but was not able to do so. In other words, a pretty fast read, with many enjoyable reverses! Would recommend to any Deadwood history buff in a minute! A must have in the history buffs library.

Goes beyond the "Big Three"

This book goes beyond "Wild Bill and Calamity Jane" and gives an insight into those who help build and tame Deadwood in the late 1800's. From the affulent to the "soiled doves" to the Chinese and Hebrew influence, the author introduces you to the other characters of Deadwood. A great book to read before going to Mount Moriah
