Pamper yourself with homemade mosturizers, soaps, fragrances, masques, and pomades -- for a fraction of the cost of the commercial items. Beautifully illustrated and sprinkled with folklore and the recipes of famous beauties throughout history, from Eve to Cleopatra to Lady Chatterly, this book is a treasure. Some of the concoctions are a bit odd, and some of the ingredients are impossible obscure. But as the author notes in the introduction, one or two recipes that work for you are well worth the price of this book.
