Edgy Romantic Suspense that works

Not for the squeamish, due to the plot involving S/M sex club and baby used as pawn, but Helen Myer really knows how to set up her readers to feel the story. She's taken on a challenging theme, the romance is believable and she has gone with far from stereotypical descriptions and plot. Highly recommended! Good Romantic Suspense. Highly recommended.

This is the second romantic suspense I have read by this author. In my opinion this book, More Than You Know is better than "Final Stand". My only quibble with this book is the heroine. As another reviewer said previously, the damsel in distress is getting old. Wish Ms. Myers would have given "Nicole" more backbone as she did for her female heroine in Final Stand. The hero's story alone is worth the price of the book. He is laden with problems that no human should have to endure. Divorced with a dying child, Ms. Meyer's shows his depth and despair brilliantly. He is strong and compelling. ALthough I liked the mystery, I felt bogged down in it by the end. Some people have complained that Ms. Myers is to heavy on the romance and to light on the suspense. I agree. However, I like more romance than suspense. Maybe this is your cup of tea if you feel the same.

More Than You Know

We all already know that we can't help but enthral from the first paragraphs till the final page is turned. The story is a great mix of action, suspense and mystery.Nicole Loring has had more than her share of tragedies in her young life. And is distrustful of people in general, but most especially the police. Having been estranged from her parents for some time, her only relative with whom she has a relationship, is her brother. But, Nicole's whole world is turned upside down when he dies unsuspectedly and she learns through a police detective that they believe his death was due to his sexual perversions. However, the detective agrees not reveal this and let his death be labeled a suicide, instead. Nicole on the other hand, is convince beyond a doubt that his death was the result of a murder, and vows to prove it... if only someone would believe her.

Passionate romance and spine-tingling intrigue

Set in Dallas, "More Than You Know" is an exceptional tale that will have cross appeal for fans of police procedurals as well as devotees of romantic suspense. Author Helen Myers has done her research well as she brings a chilling account that might have come straight from today's news into her story. By intermingling passionate romance with spine-shivering intrigue in her latest novel, Myers proves once again why she is fast becoming one of today's most sought-after writers. (plus, she's a pretty nice gal!)

A sperb romantic intrigue

In Dallas, auction house agent Nicole Loring stays at the apartment of her brother Jay when an electric fire makes her own place unlivable. After working hard all day, Nicole comes home late to hear her sibling having sex with some bimbo. She is angry with his fooling around. Earlier in the day, he excitedly called her with the news that he is the father of an infant, whose mother just dropped him off to live with him. When Nicole wakes up the next morning, she goes to get Jay and meet her nephew. Instead, she finds her brother dead, an apparent victim of autoerotic asphyxia. The detective, Wes Willard treats Nicole with distaste. After moonlighting at Nicole's auction house, police officer Roman McKenna is promoted to detective. He is very attracted to Nicole, but fails to act on it because he knows he is out of her league. Besides that, his daughter is dying from leukemia. Soon Roman begins to feel that Nicole is right, that her sibling was murdered. With the help of his partner, he begins to investigate and tries to keep Nicole safe. He falls in love; an emotion shared by Nicole.MORE THAN YOU KNOW is an extraordinary romantic suspense novel that will have cross appeal for fans of police procedurals. Roman and Nicole make a warm couple, but it's the action and growing tension that makes this a great novel. The insight into the Dallas police department is nothing short of brilliant, leaving writers of police procedurals filled with envy at her skills. The author of over thirty novels, Ms. Myers appears to be heading back to the familiar territory of bestseller.Harriet Klausner
