Life Changing

I just bought More than a Dad the other day and I am so excited for my husband to start reading it. My neighbor's husband read More than a Dad and I have seen tremondous changes in his realtionships with his kids and his wife. When talking with my neighbor she says that this book was such a blessing to her entire family because they are all benefiting from the changes in her husband.

The best relationship book ever!!!

Scot has absolutely the best advice for any father out there. He has a very practical, biblical way of accomplishing anyone's fathering goals. My book is actually like an instruction manual. Whenever I feel myself slipping, I go read it again. It's been 2 or 3 times already!!! I've only had the book a little over a year! Let me tell you, this book works. My relationship with my children is 100 times better then it was before. They talk to me about hard hitting issues, and don't say they hate me anymore. That alone was worth the price of the book!!!! It was excellent!

I am a mother of two who loves to read. I ran out of reading material at bedtime and picked up my husband's book to read. This book was a true blessing. This book made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and I was so sad when it ended. It gave some great advice and most of the material outlined we already practice in our own home. I have already been looking for other books written by this writer. (Although, I have found none.) This book in no shape or form every put down or degraded a women. This book uplifted a women within the household. You must remember that this book WAS written for MEN and not women. It is was written to captivate the man and keep him reading. It is man to man. Nothing in this book was not christian, and I am sure that Anderson's wife was fully aware of what was included in this book.

Strongly Recommend

So many books on parenting are very inspirational but seem to stop short of giving you any real-world, real-life examples of things you can do to improve your family. "More Than a Dad" goes the distance. It is chock full of biblical inspiration to help you see your role as a father and husband the way God intended it to be. But, most importantly, it gives you specific examples of things you can do to help create life-long memories that will positively impact your children. I would highly recommend this book to dads, grandpas or anyone who might one day become one of those two. It truly changed my life and I know it will yours.

More than a Dad deeply affected me!

When I began to read More than a Dad, I hoped it might be a good book on parenting. I never expected it to affect me so deeply. I saw such truths and doable, practical things my husband and I could do to make such positive changes in our family. The author stresses above all else, relationship with our children. As I was reading the book, I realized most of the information protrayed was common sense. However, in this day and age when families are falling apart, we need to be taught common sense approaches to our parenting. We need to learn how to create memories, prioritize our time, discipline our children in love and keep our families together from someone who has had success in parenting. The author, Pastor Scot Anderson, is a fantastic, effective and hilarious teacher. I highly recommend this book to all parents and grandparents, and I am looking forward to Scot Anderson's next book!
