More Starlight's even better!

The thing I like about this series is that you can jump in on the second volume and not be completely lost. Volume two with it's 4 chapters is a story in itself. While it might help to know that Akane and Aogi are and have always been childhood friends (it tells us this in volume one), other than that, volume two is completely understandable without reading volume one. Volume two of "More Starlight to Your Heart" deals more with the inside feelings of a few of the characters. We now find out that Akane's older brother isn't just a lazy bum and that he stays home from work on rainy days to be with the woman that he loves most. (which I think is really cute, although I don't want to give anything away) The relationship between Minor Captain Aogi (Akane's "lover") and Middle Captain Tou (Akane's brother) is strengthened I think because they both find that they have something in common. They're both hopelessly in love with women who aren't exactly what everyone thinks they are; women who have their own problems and need a little consoling every once in a while. Anyway, this book was adorable and even though I bought it before volume one (I bought volume one off of here as soon as I was done reading volume two) at a bookfair, I was still happy that I could understand it. This is a great series for younger girls too. Maybe not 5 year olds but it's rated for all ages. Maybe some of those little hopeless romantics out there would love it. There are a few sexual innuendos here and there but they're the kind of things that kids will 'understand when they're older'. I loved it and I highly recommend that anyone read it! You wont be sorry.
