More Scrambles in the Canadian Rockies expands and revises a substantial collection of non-technical mountain objectives for hikers and scramblers. In addition to 39 new routes, this edition updates information for many of the 114 scrambles included in the previous edition.
Waterton, the Castle and Kananaskis are covered extensively, with additional objectives in the Crowsnest area, Banff, Highway 93 North and Yoho. Route descriptions include different approaches to summits, alternative or easier descents and a range of difficulty levels. Full-colour photographs and maps help readers understand the terrain before setting out.
General guidance addresses scrambling safety, area characteristics, weather-dependent trip selection and opportunities for single-day multi-peak outings. The book is designed for experienced hikers moving into more demanding off-trail terrain as well as established scramblers looking for new Canadian Rockies objectives.
