Mondays Are Apple Green

By Louise Greig

A beautiful and authentic celebration of synesthesia (the rare merging of senses experienced by about 4% of people) by an award-winning author and synesthete.

Anna experiences the world a little differently. Sounds make her mouth water; names and days have colors.

Anna's Tuesdays are sparkly like shiny tinsel. The notes of her music teacher's violin taste like delicious chocolate sauce. And Anna's own name is black currant purple "Is it just me?" she wonders uncertainly, but her mom explains that Anna is "one of a special few" because Anna has synesthesia.

This eye-opening picture book uses lyrical text and vivid imagery to bring this colorful perceptual phenomenon to life on the page in an engaging way that young children can understand. Mondays are Apple Green enables young synesthetes to feel seen and is a joyful celebration of difference
