As dementia slowly robbed Jeannette Sprick of memory and recognition and coherent speech and even speech itself over the last eight years of her life, her son Dennis wondered what he could offer her besides his presence during his visits to his mother at her nursing home in New Jersey. So he started ending his visits by singing to her, hoping to reach her even if she could not respond. And to lessen her and his isolation, he began to write about his visits and post her photo on social media. His aim was to inspire others of his generation who might be going through the same thing with their parents or loved ones. This book is a compilation of those photos and essays.
