J. Robert Oppenheimer said on viewing the first atomic bomb explosion, "I am become Death - the destroyer of worlds." Actually, he said that at a later interview, but it sounds nice and fits. The original that was paraphrased is from the Mahabharata. Bhagavad Gita 11:32 The History Channel’s overview of the Manhattan Project and related projects from the concept to the design, to the need for testing, to the implementation of early atomic weapons. Sometimes found under Modern Marvels, season 8, episode 20, aired Jun 4, 2002. There is a lot of footage of the Project and after-the-fact reviews with some of the designers.
