Thirteen-year-old Celeste Harris is no string bean, but comfy sweatpants and a daily chocolate cookie suit her just fine. Her under-the-radar lifestyle could have continued too, if her aunt hadn't... This description may be from another edition of this product.

Munching down on a great book!

Talk about a good book! "Models Don't Eat Chocolate Cookies" is a novel that I will never forget. It combines the two problems that some girl teens may ponder about: if they are getting fat and facing the queen bee in school. Erin Dionne mixed together the plot perfectly, and I finished the book in a single day. I was unwilling to put it down. I would recommend this to all teenage girls around me.

Sensitive subject handled with care and humor

Every teen-ager (and most adults) deal with body image and fitting in. Erin Dionne takes us to the world of Celeste Harris, a bright girl who wants to just let things be with her wardrobe of sweatpants and loose clothes, but is unwittingly entered into a HuskyPeach pageant. With the cloud of the HuskyPeach pageant hovering over us as we follow Celeste, "Models" goes deeper and into her world and the impact of weight, self-esteem, family and peer pressure. Sympathetic and with wonderful laugh outloud moments, I recommend this book for girls, teens, and parents.

Great humorous contemporary for kids and younger teens

With a believable and engaging narrator in Celeste, a wonderful premise played for lots of humor, and plenty of real life drama on the side, MODELS will work its way into your heart even as it has you laughing out loud. Readers of all ages will relate to Celeste's struggles with her body image, her family, and her friends. Highly recommended!

Must-Read for All Tween Girls

This book made me laugh out loud several times. I have had to wear enough Peach Monstrosities in my life to completely relate to this wonderful, touching book about self-acceptance. A must-read for all tween girls.
