Another terrific book from Tanya Michaels

No, no, NO! This can't be happening!!! Rachel Waide was in a panic. She couldn't be pregnant. She just COULDN'T BE! And the timing really stunk, too! For four long years, she and her husband David had been trying for a baby. She'd taken the pills, endured the mood swings, lived through the constant disappointments, and had finally gotten pregnant only to lose the baby in the first trimester. Devastated and tired, she had been hurt by her husband's seemingly cavalier attitude about the miscarriage. As silent misery ate away at her she decided she had no recourse but to separate from David and move away. But how to do it quietly and with no fanfare was the million dollar question. Rachel realized that leaving would be much easier said than done. In the small of town Mistletoe, Georgia, everybody knew everything about everybody else. Keeping a secret in Mistletoe was as easy as touching your elbow with your tongue, and Rachel was faced with keeping two big secrets: her unexpected pregnancy and her separation from David. And she had to do both while acting as a joyful bridesmaid at her brother-in-law's wedding. ***** I'm not going to let her go. I won't, I just won't! David Waide couldn't believe Rachel was serious about a separation. He knew she'd been somber and withdrawn since the miscarriage but he had no idea that she was at the point where wanted to leave. Granted, their relationship had been strained since the miscarriage and she'd kept to herself, but he thought she'd snap out of it. Oh, she'd "snapped out of it" all right, just not the way he had expected. Not only that, she was pregnant again and they hadn't gone the fertility treatment route! There was no way could she leave him - and Mistletoe -- forever. No...freaking...way. David had always been the problem-solver. When they'd met, he'd swept Rachel off her feet, had taken care of her and had taken pride in meeting her every need. This time, he needed her. He had no doubt that he wanted her to stay with in Mistletoe, to live there with him forever. With single-minded devotion, he set his mind to convincing her that she needed to stay. First, he was going to turn on the charm. Then he'd follow up by sending her a special bouquet of flowers..... **************** Tanya Michaels demonstrates once again why she is a one of the best romance writer in today's market. In the town of Mistletoe, Georgia, she has populated it with characters who spring out of the book alive and whole and three-dimensional. Each person in the book is someone you're sure you've met before in another place and another time. Each town member is warm and friendly with the right amount of quirkiness to keep you laughing and reading. Tanya is one of those rare writers whose books are always satisfying, never boring, and chock-full of great characters, as well as writing a great story that is a treat to read.. In Mistletoe Baby, she has created a couple who have experienced los

Any season is right for Mistletoe Baby. This book delves deeply into the emotions of Rachel and David, a couple whose marriage is broken from the stress of trying to have a baby and not being able to conceive. They decide to keep up the charade that they are married until after the holidays and after the wedding of David's brother Tanner. The complication to this plan is that Rachel finally achieves the impossible: she's pregnant. I couldn't put this book down because I was so emotionally invested in both characters. Unlike many romance novels, I could understand the points of view of both characters. Because they both had a point but were both legitimately hurting, I really rooted for them to get together. This was a truly great read and a great study in goals, motivation, and conflict for all you writers out there.
