The cheering tale of a determined little mouse who knows just what she wants! Mimi is tired of living in the same, small house as all her brothers and sisters. She wants her own house where she can be... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My 5 year old loves this book. It is probably a little young for her, but, for some reason, she returns to it over and over. The illustrations are very engaging, with lots of cute details. The story is about a mouse who wants a home that will express who she is. Her sisters build a huge, over the top, house, that Mimi says is nice, but, "I want a mouse house where I can be me. Then her brothers build a huge house, that is bright and loud, and, again, she says the same thing. Finally, she builds her own home, a modest, charming, little cottage, that is, as she says, "my mouse house where I can be me"! It is a sweet story, that shows how one can create one's own dreams, with a little hard work and determination. I love the image of all of the female builders too! :)
