Brazilian billionaire Luc Santoro is just gorgeous and powerful in this book. And Kimberly is no weakling either. The emotional intensity and seduction pieces are very well written. This book is a real page turner.

Lead Characters: Kimberley & Luc. Kimberley starts out as an incredible and dimwitted Wimp to Luc's incredible Alpha male. In fact, I do believe that Luc is the worst (or would that be best?) Alpha I have ever encountered in any book, ever. So you Alpha males out there need to steer clear of this book, or you'll be spouting steam from your ears! Kimberley actually finds her backbone about 2/3 of the way through the book. She never told Luc off the way I would have, but then we have a allow for personality differences, even in book characters. I was pleasantly surprised & pleased to read how Kimberley did an about-face and started leading Mr. Alpha Male around by the nose...and so was he! We don't get very much of the male character's perspective until almost the middle of the book, when he starts to get confused over his "addiction" to Kimberley. It was nice to see him humbled over & over. :) There were some very humourous moments in this story, also; which was another reason I leaned towards a 4-star rating instead of 3. SPOILER ALERT: Kimberley goes to Luc to beg for $5 million because a blackmailer has threatened their child--a child Luc knows nothing about, because when he ruthlessly broke up with K. years ago, he refused all phone calls or attempts by her to visit him and tell him she was pregnant. She went back to her hometown and, after being shunned by her parents, she used Luc's credit cards to sustain her & their baby with necessities. For that, he believes she is a gold-digger. He treats her with no respect whatsoever, and that is very hard to read until he starts showing that he truly does care. Eventually there is more danger, but I don't want to give away the entire story. I would have given this book 3.5 stars, not 4, if I was given that option. Reason: How can a mother leave her child in a dangerous situation for that long, even if he is with her trusted best friend? I had a huge problem with that part of the story, plus the part where she didn't just ask to have a DNA test performed to prove that their child was Luc's. (He is so arrogant & alpha that he does not believe her "story" about why she needs $5 million for blackmail in which their 6-year old child is threatened unless the $$ is delivered. Plus, you would think Luc would at *least* make sure she wasn't telling the truth before he took even a remote chance of putting a possible child of his in danger. Other than that, I am glad I read the book, because the way Luc has to eat crow and do as K. says (Yes!!) in order to get something he wants was priceless, and I loved the humor and passion in this book. Sarah Morgan has a really nice writing style, and this could have easily been a 5-star book if just a little more of those pesky details had been seen to.
