I didn't read the prequel, don't need to, to enjoy this!

The historical flows like a playful adventure-romance. In a way, Phillips reminds me a bit of Jayne Krentz/Amanda Quick. I enjoyed it, passed it along to family who passed it along after they were finished---a very good read!. Story: A princessdisguises herself as her cousin, to check out a man she didn't know, the one she was to marry via a royal arrangement. And Brandon, the rascally prince charming, also harbored doubts, especially when he found himself drawn to his intended's cousin, rather than to the woman he was duty-bound to marry.

This is a delightful story about Kat and Brandon! I love how the author ties in all her characters from previous books or books to come. If you love family, hunting, and laughter than this book is for you!! Enjoy!
