My favorite children's book ever

Not to be confused with another classic (Goodnight Moon), "Midnight Moon" is a magical little odyssey in which the Sandman takes you on an adventure from your bed to the moon, "past winking stars and ruby Mars" (I think I remember every word). My mom read this book to me all the time in the early 1980s when I was a little kid. This little book has wonderful watercolor-like illustrations and a lilting rhyme to the narrative. I can still feel the exhiliration of imagining meeting the Man in the Moon, and listening to all of his tales of wanderings around the world. Buy this book and help make it a classic for future generations.

Beautiful Midnight Moon!

This book has been a favorite of mine since my daughter was born 25 years ago. The beauty of the illustrations and the incredibly flowing language allow it to be read over and over without boredom. I am a Language Pathologist, and my daughter an artist, so we both appreciate this book on professional levels, as well as soon-to-be Grammie-and-Mommie. I have been looking for it for years, since my one copy was getting tattered. I am thrilled that it is again available, since I intend to read it to my grandchild as often as possible.

a wonderful gift

I am SO EXCITED that this book is back in print - it was a terrifically magical part of my childhood, and I look forward to sharing it with another generation of children. The illustrations are charming, and the story is simple enough to be memorized by small children, but not so simple that it loses its charm.

OUR FAVORITE CHILDREN'S BOOK

Twenty-some-odd years ago,when I was a new mother, I found this little gem and bought half a dozen copies. Over the years they were given to friends with new babies, and our own copy became the #1 bedtime favorite out of the hundreds of children's books on our shelves. To this day my daughter and I can recite the words from memory ... the text has a wonderful rhythm to it, the story is magical, the illustrations colorful and captivating. I came here to purchase more, for more friends with new babies, and was so disappointed to find it's out of print!
