Usually I am annoyed by the female "leads" in books like this...

but I actually liked the main female character (Erin)! lol Usually the main female has me grinding my teeth in annoyance because they are too overbearing or the author tries too hard to make her seem like a saint when I keep wanting to say "Look at how annoying she is here! And here! And look what she did here! Are you SERIOUS?" (Yet I still read all the books anyway, lol). However Erin was the perfect balance between strong and vulnerable. The whole story captured my attention. Loved all the characters and gasped out loud at one point in the book. Took me less than a day to read it. All in all I highly recommend it and will look for more books by this author.
