The book is very extensive and covers virtually everything about excel you need to know.

Good Excel Reference

Complete rundown of the 2007 features with solid explanations. I would call this a thinking person's manual in that there is a certain level of technical expertise assumed. My wife has taken a job where she has been asked to provide some more elegant solutions for existing docuemnts. So far the book has not failed her.
