MettaCitta: A book that changes lives

By: Aishwarya Nanda

Ronak has spent his life chasing victories across a chessboard, yet one night, after losing in the finals of a chess championship, he impulsively boards a bus bound for the Himalayas, he isn't seeking peace - only escape.

On this uncertain journey, he meets Kabira, a mysterious older traveler with twinkling eyes and words that cut through silence like mountain air. Their conversations - about anger, love, success, privilege, fear, and forgiveness - unfold not as lectures but as gentle lessons hidden in chance encounters, landscapes, and fleeting moments on the road.

As the bus climbs higher into misty valleys, somewhere appeared, Sanskriti, a young woman whose presence carried more meaning than words. Ronak finds what he was never chasing.

Told with heart and humour, Mettacitta is a deeply moving tale of self-discovery, weaving the stillness of the mountains with the turbulence of the human heart. For anyone who has ever searched for meaning beyond success or longed for peace beyond winning, this story is a reminder about: the power of a calm mind.
