Menō

Menō is the Greek word for remain, stay, dwell and abide. When the first disciples asked Jesus where He was staying, He said, "Come, and see." They came, they saw, and they stayed with Him. This small book carries the same invitation: to stay with Jesus, to be at home in His love, and to discover that by the Holy Spirit He does not only walk beside us. He dwells in us.

Shaped by three passages (the prayer of Ephesians 3, the vine of John 15 and the road to Emmaus in Luke 24), Menō unfolds six movements of love:

Mike Hey draws on more than forty years of following Jesus with his wife Ann, in Adelaide neighbourhoods, in India, and on the mission ships Doulos and Logos Hope. The stories are simple and real: a caf owner who sees every customer as loved by God, a man in a park who feels locked up and finds the key, early-morning walks blessing homes street by street.

The Menō Companion Walk, developed with Peter Steicke, offers six gatherings for personal reflection or for two or three walking together. Each one follows the rhythm settle, read, reflect, practise and pray together.
