Page turner- that had me finishing it in one day!!!!!

This was one of the best books that I have read. Before joining a book club, I usually read only well known/ highly advertised authors. This book was picked as a book for our club. It was interesting to me that the writer lived in the same city I did. After I read this book I was very interested in reading more books by Cheryl. This book was so good and it kept my interest. I could not put it down. I have two small children so my free time is limited, but I spent every available minute reading this book. The characters were so vivid that I could picture them. It was a true picture of relationships, single parenting, dysfunctional family relationships and tragic health issues. With the way the book ended, I am hoping that she would write a sequel. I would love to continue to see how the characters lives continue. Due to Cheryl's realistic writing, I believe that she will make it right up there with the "well known" authors. Keep up the good work Cheryl.

Looking for A SEQUEL to MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY

I'm eagerly awaiting a sequel to Memories of Yesterday. This book held my attention from beginning to end. Now, I'm looking for MORE.Ms. Robinson was able to paint a vivid "urban" tale of two complex and interesting characters, Porter and Winona. As I read this book, I realized these are people I know and their struggles with pain and hurt are similar to my own. Ms. Robinson's ability to connect with the reader made this an enjoyable WEEKEND READ. MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY is one novel that I would highly recommend, especially for men and women who struggle with letting go of their past loves and relationships.A MUST READ.... YOU WILL LEAVE WANTING MORE!

True to Life

This novel was so refreshing and true to life. The issues the characters had to deal with were complex, but the author was able to write in away that was easy to understand. This book is a quick easy enjoyable read. You will get enthralled in the characters lives and emotions. There are lessons you can learn - like let go of the past, live in your present moments and push on to your future. Your future has wonderful surprises as Winona found out in the end. I don't want to get into the details, but you will be on the edge of your reading glasses wondering if Winona is going to live and if Porter is going to get himself together after leaving his wife. Nonetheless, this novel is well put together and a book to read twice.

A Must Read !!!

This book was awesome!!! Once I picked it up and started reading, I couldn't put it down. The characters were so well written. Each character is someone you know or can identify with. I was particularly impressed with the author's ability to write men so well. The insight she has is scary. The way the story unfolds is masterful, you truly cant wait to see what happens next. The twists, turns and surprises are great too. The people, events and the way they're written were also right on point. One may forget you're reading fiction. Obviously I would highly recommend this read. This author is definitely destined for greatness!!
