A Fast and Easy Way to Relax

Meditation Express is a great resource for novice and experienced meditators alike. The authors have many creative ideas that teach meditation techniques for people who really want to meditate but always somehow find a way to not have the time. The book is great because you can pick it up when you have only a few minutes and get a useful exercise in just a short time, and even have time leftover to do the meditation. I gave copies to several of my friends and family who I know are stressed out with too much to do, and need ways to decompress. It makes a sweet gift!!Nancy and Michael have a great career ahead of them as teachers and writers. Thanks for the book!

Teacher Tricks

I recommed this book to any teacher who is having difficulty with focusing student's attention at the beginning of class. Carrots on page 66 would be excellent for pre-writing focus. Really Seeing, on page 6 is also excellent. As a teacher of drama, I often tried to convince young actors the importance of focusing their minds on their characters while acting. Sixty second meditations are perfect pieces for students to use as practice, either at the beginning of each class, or as homework assignments. I start with the "Pink Elephant" duo as they are particularily effective. I recommed this book to any teacher who is having difficulty with focusing student's attention at the beginning of class. Carrots on page 66 would be excellent for pre-writing focus. Really Seeing, on page 6 is also excellent. The quotes are useful for writing on the blackboard at the beginning of the day and often evoke laughter (always a good way to start a class)and discussion. This book could use the quote on page 75 to describe itself. "Come quickly, I am tasting stars," as it is a STAR choice for teachers.

Meditation Delight

A wonderful guide to a quick escape from the daily grind. The 60 second meditations allow you to imagine, hear, and feel the way you might like yourself to be. This is excellent for those wishing to experience meditation for the first-time. It's easy, quick, and can free the mind because you remove the stress at hand and gain a quick perspective of the big picture. By being able to observe the big picture, you can obtain a sense of inner balance. It's a mind quieter for a peaceful night's sleep. Enjoy!

Center Field

When first looking at "Meditation Express" I thought-it's too long-I don't have the time to read it to relieve my stress. But a couple of minutes a day reading and then thinking about it and practicing has eased everyday stress and reminded me to center myself. Humor, puns and silliness make this book a pleasure to read and to give-while adding a bit of assistance to coping with it all. Every page has a simple thought that wishes you well-in mind and body.

Truly Express Meditations

This is the first book on meditation that I have found applicable in my daily life. The authors don't require that I wear special robes, decorate a room or designate hours of my day to reach a calmer, more focused state. Instead, they provide a recipe for confidence and success with their simple meditations in my daily life, sprinkled well with humor and topped with lightness. It's charming reading in addition to being so useful.
