Passed Exam First Time with Book Only

This book allowed me to pass the exam the first time through. I have two years practical experience and this book pulled together the rest of the information I needed. Great book and well written.

Excellent Review/Study Supplement for NT 4.0 Enterprise!

Would highly recommend this book for your studies! For a small number of pages, there is a wealth of information condensed into a very readable format. It briefly touches upon the technology and then reinforces it with strong study questions. (Note: Questions are very similar to the Transcender exam) This book should be a supplement to your studies, not the main source of information.I'm not sure where our one disgruntled reviewer is coming from but the certification process will always be flawed. Speaking as a Network professional with 5 years experience and two CNE certifications, certification will never take the place of real-life experience. However, it may be a measure of theoretical knowledge and initiative of the network professional who achieves them. I see certification as a supplement to my career, not what defines it. And yes, we are living in a capitalistic society, welcome to the United States!

All You Need to Pass!

Once you have done NT Workstation, give this book a read for a few days and your ready for the exam. The book is concise and well presented. If you require a book, this is the only one you need.

Just as they say. "The smartest way to get certified"!

With the help of Exam Cram, I've done it again.(See my review of A+ Exam cram book) Bought this book as part of the Core-4 set. Read it cover-to-cover in 2 days. Beefed up weak areas with the more in-depth Exam Prep. Did the simulation tests (provided with the Core-4 set and Exam prep books) every day. Passed 70-067 (adaptive) today painlessly, 1st time ,with only 8 days revision! My opinion? If you are serious about passing...forget the rest. This is the best!

It Worked For Me

It's difficult to figure out from these reviews which MCSE books you should invest your time and money in. With such varying levels of praise and outright hostility, you wonder if the people who submitted their comments were even reading the same book. You also have to wonder if the people writing all the fantastic reviews aren't the publishers themselves. Well, with that said, here's my honest opinion:I bought the book, I read it, I passed. First time, scored 921/1000. Everyone throws their hands up in the air and screams about the errors and inaccuracies in this (and every) study guide. I went to Exam Cram's web-site and printed out their eratta, folded it up and put it in the book. I looked at it a few times. Most of the errors were trivial. I didn't have a nervous breakdown over it.I found the practice questions to be difficult and stimulating. I felt that they did a god job of preparing me for the exam. The only dissapointment I had was with the f! inal practice exam at the end of the book. It should have included a different set of questions than those at the end of the chapters. This was by no means the only resource I used for studying, but I do think that it contributed a great deal to my passing.I also used Sybex, Minasi, TechNet, and my own Homegrown Lab.My parting advice, other than to reccomend this book, is to take the money you'd spend on classes and buy yourself some more computers and a cheap Ethernet hub. Be your Own ATEC. Good luck everyone.
