Tender book of redeemed abandonment

A warm and tenderly written account of four bi-racial orphans of the Korean war, the cultural rejection that brings them together, the difficulties they face for survival, and help that comes to them from several unexpected quarters. A relatively short book, the themes of loyalty, courage, honesty, persistance, long-suffering and enduring love are simply and beautifully expressed and gently worded. From age four to fifty, this was a favorite read aloud over the holiday time.
