Matters of The Heart

This collaboration is inspired by moments I've experienced during my life's journey. My experience comes predominately from an emotional aspect. Now I would like to give you a bit of insight about my life so you can see me and maybe some of you. I am a single parent of three children (all now adults), and I have one grandchild. I was raised in foster care along with my five brothers. At sixteen years of age I went from one foster home to the next until adult-hood. Upon entering adult-hood I spiraled down hill for many years trying to find love and trying to fit in somewhere or might I say anywhere. My story is; sex, drugs, pain and Deliverance. I pray that the things which allowed me to write will be identifiable, uplifting and a source of encouragement for you. Writing poetry for me is and has always been therapeutic and holistically healing. I give to you my heart, and words in the hope that it will do the same for you. I embrace the spirit of God as he lives in me. So, sit back, relax, light a candle and have a nice cup of tea. My favorites are lavender candles and chamomile tea. I pray that you enjoy some of my heart felt poetry and may the Holy Spirit rest upon you.
