Great collection for scientists.

Funny, relaxing, and very entertaining. I gave it as a present and no where else could I find a cartoon book with a focus on math a science. As with all Fox Trot books, very funny!!

A perfect gift for a science geek or a science teacher....

If you read the description you will see this is a themed collection, not a new one. Perfect for kids taking science/math, science/math teachers and just nerds in general. All those strips I have laboriously cut out from the paper (my kids know if it is a science/math Foxtrot to make sure it gets saved) reproduced in one place. If you do not know any science or math, you will not "get" all these cartoons. My kids enjoy going through it and saying "I get this one, not that one etc". One day I picked up my daughter from school and she told me that she finally got the "Fibonachos" cartoon after math class that day. I love it!

Wonderful reprise

With all due respect to the two-star reviewer, if you don't "get" that this is a distillation of many years' worth of Foxtrots into a book aimed firmly and unapologetically at the "geek" audience; if you're not a Slashdot reader, or if you don't know what "XKCD" is, you're probably not the target audience for this book. Because it is a distillation of Foxtrot -- to the best of my knowledge, the only (formerly) daily strip done by a physicist. And the nerd humor is thick, furious, and vastly enjoyable. Indeed, "billions and billions" of my neurons have gone into enjoying Mr. Amend's -- err, I mean "Jason's" -- sheer evil genius. Whether it's plotting trajectories for rockets to land in Paige's room, or doing pushups to irrational numbers, if you are a member of the target audience, you'll find great enjoyment. Live long and prosper.

Yes, there is nothing new here, but...

The title itself says as much in the subtitle: a themed collection. Maybe they should have been clearer,m but if you're a science/math geek(to which these strips are geared), this collection is fun and well put together by creator Bill Amend himself. It covers science/math strips from book one up until the present. One really cool BONUS: I discovered by accident...that if you leave the book under a fluorescent light for 5 minutes and then take the book into a completely dark room..the 0's and 1's that are on the cover glow in the dark! Either way, I enjoyed this collection! Nothing new, but still great!
