I'm leading an expedition to Resilon Three, a deep space voyage that's hoping to find new planets to add to the roster of united forces. My only goal is to make sure that my small ship makes it through the dangerous stretch of seldom-traveled atmosphere.

But it's a goal I'm not able to reach. Instead, my ship crashes onto a strange planet fueled by fire, heat, and all things burning. That's where I meet Reswick, the supposed Fire Alpha. He has the resources to fix my ship. He even strikes up a deal with me: if I work in the palace as his concubine, he'll repair my ship.

But after I agree to this deal-for some reason-I can't help but think that something else is going on, that he might not have told me everything. And why do I keep getting this strange sensation in my chest whenever he's around? There's a piece missing from this puzzle. I might not have anyone here willing to help me, but I'll find it out anyway.

Because at the end of the day, it doesn't matter that Reswick is the Fire Alpha. I'm not just going to roll over and turn belly-up for him.
